Best of 2017....

2017 was a good year. I got to shoot some of my favourite bands and encountered some new acts that have joined my regular listening playlists. Here's hoping 2018 is half as good!
In no particular order, here are some of my favourite shots from the past 12 months....

Peter Hook & The Light @ Manchester Academy

Salford lad Peter Hook brought along his band for a Christmas homecoming show.

Gogol Bordello @ Manchester Academy

International gypsy punk rebels Gogol Bordello brought their Seekers and Finders tour through Manchester.

Mastodon @ Manchester Academy

Having seen them three times and worked with them once, it was finally time to shoot Mastodon and it did not disappoint.

Red Fang @ Manchester Academy

Red Fang came through Manchester once again, this time as part of the stellar Mastodon tour.

Kasabian @ Manchester Arena

UK rockers Kasabian brought their "For Cying Out Loud Live" tour to Manchester Arena.

Slaves @ Manchester Arena

Slaves are a band that make it patently obvious that you don't need a stage full of musicians and gimmicks to put on a great show....

Future Islands @ Manchester Apollo

Future Islands are a band that need to be seen live to fully understand them. Even with tonight's sold out 3,500 crowd, they manage to make the show seem intimate.

Faster Pussycat @ Manchester Academy

Hard rock glam-punk stalwarts Faster Pussycat came through Manchester as support to Mr. Big.

The Answer @ Manchester Academy

Northern Ireland's finest rockers The Answer were in town supporting Mr. Big.

Rag'n'Bone Man @ Manchester Apollo

Rag'n'Bone Man brought his band and impressive lighting rig to Manchester's Apollo for 2 sold out nights.

Rationale @ Manchester Apollo

Rationale recently played as main support to Rag'n'Bone Man on some of his Overproof tour dates.

The Cadillac Three @ Manchester Academy

The Cadillac Three played to a sold out crowd at Manchester Academy, their biggest headline show to date. Turns out UK Northerners love southern rock....

Alice Cooper @ Manchester Arena

Alice Cooper is a man who needs no here he is playing in Manchester!

Run The Jewels @ Victoria Warehouse Manchester

Run The Jewels are an unstoppable force of hip-hop. Having seen them 3 times before, I decided to bring my camera along for this sold out show.

Savage Messiah @ Manchester Academy 2

Savage Messiah had the pleasure of supporting Cradle of Filth on their recent UK tour.

Cradle of Filth @ Manchester Academy 2

Cradle of Filth were one of the first black metal bands I liked and I first saw them in 1998, a show that yielded many interesting stories. So it was always guaranteed that I was going to shoot them at some point....

The Last Band @ Club Academy Manchester

The Last Band played as opening act for Fozzy on their recent European tour. High energy rock n' roll at it's finest.
